Yes, this happened to me yesterday. Jealous?

I biked to the other side of town in humid 80/90 degree weather and couldn’t stop sweating. It was a problem. I actually left sweat spots on the chair. I really cannot deal with Austin summers (Avg 100 degrees) Problems. Help.

Also, I don’t know about you, but I always feel so awkward when people cut my hair. I don’t really want to chat the whole time. I don’t like when they massage my head/neck, so I shouted “Ewww” when he started massaging my neck. At one point I just wanted to shave my head today. I always find it weird when they give me a mirror to look at the back of my head because I don’t really care. I’m a hair stylist’s dream. I still don’t trust male hair cutters. I’m that girl who cries after every haircut because I don’t like it at first. Problems. I probably should not have shared all of this with the internet.

Sometimes I feel so old. The other day, my friend was talking about wireless digital cameras. I thought she was joking. Since when can digital cameras connect to the internet? I thought only phones could do that. Problems. My camera has 5x zoom and 10 megapixels, which I thought was pretty good, but apparently it’s not, but I hear that the human eye can really only see up to a certain amount of mpx.

I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. Not your problem, but if you know the answer to any of the following questions, please help me out. I’d really appreciate it!

1.What did you do about your cellphone? Did you only have texting? And while we’re at it, what is the number for 9-1-1 in the UK (That sounds so dumb)?

2. How did you exchange money? Did you wait for the ATM at the airport? I hate fees.

3. Which bank did you have a checking account with? Like I said, I hate fees. I opened an account with Bank of America because I heard it has the least amount of fees. I hear there’s an exchange fee when you use your credit card as well. Rude.

4. What is the weather like in May/June? I’ve heard 60s-70s. Rainy?

5. Do people in London run/jog outside or is that weird? I heard gyms are not as big there as they are in the U.S.

6. I’ve only ridden the tube in the past, so are buses legit?

What would you bring your host family as a gift? I’m leaving to study abroad this Sunday and could not think of anything.

Of course when I told my parents, they immediately told me that they would send me Frango Mints. While I enjoy Frangos, I feel like my parents and Chicago people immediately think of bringing Frango Mints when they visit people out of town. When my parents visited me in Texas, they brought a bag of Frango Mints to give to my bosses and professors (Weird. Bribery, perhaps? They never wanted to meet my undergrad professors, not that I even knew who they were). When they visit my mom’s family in Hawaii, they always bring a bunch of Frango Mints and backups just in case. I currently have a few boxes of Frangos in my refrigerator.

I also asked my friend what I should bring my host family and she said Frango Mints. What is it with Chicago people and Frango Mints??? There has to be something else that you can give as a gift to people. Plus, aren’t Frango’s available nationwide now? They’re sold on the Macy’s website…Not my problem.

If you can think of any other gift to give, I eagerly await your suggestions.

Fuck. I was just sitting in the den or what have you and a huge roach with wings just ran around in here. What’s your take on wingtips for women?

I had to buy good walking shoes for my trip abroad and the salesman was really trying to push these Cole Haan shoes. He forgot to tell me that they are almost $200 (WTF. They have a Nike running shoe sole, so it’s extremely comfortable). The guy said that he likes them on women. I didn’t buy them. NMP. I feel like there is a lack of nice looking walking shoes and if you get wingtips, you need the right outfit to match. I feel so superficial now for saying that.

Also, I’m not sure if the Nordstrom shoe salesmen were attractive or douchey. They were all young, taller than me (Points for that), and wore tailored clothing plus vests. Any thoughts are welcome.

It’s finals, so you know what that means. Time for me to waste time by reviewing the nasty ass energy drinks that I consume to write papers!

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT GET THIS DRINK. It tasted like a mix of baby powder, animal fat, and perfume. I should have known better because it didn’t even have a flavor. Always get something that has a flavor so you have an idea of what the energy drink will taste like. It did provide enough caffeine though for me to get a lot finished and I didn’t feel sick the next day. Don’t let this be your problem.

Note: I don’t do caffeine ever because it makes me sick unless it’s finals. Call me crazy, but it’s a drug. I feel badly about using it because I feel like I’m taking adderall, but I know this is legal, but I don’t think finals should require you to use substances (Straightedge status?). My friend uses 5-hr-energy (nasty).

1. A facebook friend was talking about this great church in Dallas called Lovers Lane. Coming from the Chicago area, I immediately thought of the not-so-church-like Lover’s Lane…nmp.

2. Winter must have been exceptionally terrible in Chicago this year because multiple facebook friends have put up photos of them at the beach. I feel like whenever the temperature goes above 60 degrees, people in the Chicago area flip out and think it’s summer. NMP. Come visit me and it’s pretty much summer/spring year-round!
